First of all, we will have a sense of abbreviation. ‘PhD’ is an abbreviation on the doctor of philosophy, which emphasizes the original research in specific areas. In the doctorate in this area, the targeted original research is in specific academic fields. During this study, the first two years will generally focus on particular areas you want to specialize. A thesis is remitted in last project of this degree. This degree, in many countries, is one of the highest degrees of education that can be obtained, which opens doors to many career options. In fact, some jobs recruit only doctoral holders, such as a university professor.

On the other hand, ESD is the abbreviation of the doctor’s degree in education, which emphasizes the practice of education. The focus on the doctorate would be the practice of higher education. This means that the diploma prepares us at work in teaching, administration or research positions in academic faculties. The search remains necessary to complete this diploma; However, in relation to the doctorate, a doctoral study is the last project that is given. Unlike memories that respond to specific problems, a doctoral study deal with the problems that flow from the practice of education. Many academic faculties accept this degree for teaching positions; However, it is not so lucrative and well accepted in each institution than the doctorate.
