A gynecologist is a person who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of women, including medical and surgical treatments. A gynecologist must be skilled in three different areas- pregnancy and delivery, female health, and reproductive medicine.
OBGYN is an interesting field. The main purpose of any OGBYN doctor would be to deliver a healthy fetus while maintaining a healthy mother.
While obstetricians and gynecologists share very similar responsibilities, they each concentrate on distinct aspects of the female reproductive system.
Obstetrics primarily focuses on care of the pregnant patients and unborn babies. On the other hand, gynecology focuses on reproductive health issues and the care of reproductive organs, including the uterus, fallopian tubes, cervix, vagina, and ovaries.
The realm of OBGYN, acknowledges various subspecialties that physicians can specialize in:

Physician interested in pursuing subspecialisation undergo additional fellowship training, typically lasting for two to three years, in their chosen area of study.
Fellowship training provides advanced clinical and research experience under the guidance of experienced faculty members in the respective subspecialty.
After completion of fellowship training, the physician may become eligible for board certification in their chosen specialty through ABOG- ABOG-administered certification exams.
Students after completion of MBBS, seeking comprehensive education in obstetrics and gynecology, consider enrolling in an MD program specializing in this field.
In the online courses, students can delve into various aspects of women’s reproductive health, covering both obstetric care during pregnancy and gynecological issues related to reproductive organs. As part of the training, students may have access to online video lectures on OBGYN topics, providing valuable supplemental learning opportunities.
While pursuing an MD in OBGYN or a related program, students can receive a comprehensive education preparing them for clinical practice and potentially specializing in areas like maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, or reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
